| Introduction | Born and raised in the Philippines, Erika brings a wealth of experience working in tropical marine and rainforest environments. An avid outdoor enthusiast and athlete, Erika’s committed to finding a balance between conservation and development. She graduated from American University with an Economics and Environmental Sciences degree. She has worked for Halliburton’s Health, Safety and Environmental Department; the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Building Rating System Certification Program; and The Nature Conservancy’s Marine Conservation Program. She has traveled all over the Philippines, as well as the rest of the world. She has scuba dived in Tubataha, Philippines; ridden camels in Rajistan, India; traversed the Greece islands; backpacked the Peruvian region solo; and hiked around the Utah National Parks.
