Introduction I run Shute the Messenger, a public relations firm. An historian by trade, I spent 12 years as the media officer at the high-profile City of Port Phillip on Melbourne's bayside, winning awards from the Public Relations Institute of Australia for campaigns against high rises on the foreshore and dog poo. I have written thousands of media releases and speeches and run campaigns on a huge variety of issues. I am also a national co-convenor of Sisters in Crime Australia.
