My blogs
| Introduction | I had always been infatuated with my grandparents' story. Poppy was like a superhero, his true identity cloaked. Grandma disguised herself as your run-of-the-mill Jewish matriarch. All I knew was they survived the war and their families perished. It was not until Poppy's death and my trip to Europe that I opened the vault to my grandparents' Holocaust. I have published articles in The Jerusalem Post, Chicago Sun-Times, The Cape Cod Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, Extra!, Jew School, Eastern Surf Magazine, Shelf Life Magazine, Eudaimonia Poetry Review, Being Jewish Magazine, VOICE(S), The Dead Mule, The Broken Plate, and Teachers Network: Professional Teachers Handbook. A story adapted from the first chapter of this book has been awarded and published at the 2009 Hyman S. and Freda Bernstein Jewish Literary Festival. I also write a column at The Faster Times that examines hate and genocide. Contact me at noahlederman@gmail.com |
