Introduction	Follow the adventures of a "U" rated(my first) Special Education teacher of 20 years experience who battles the "powers of darkness"(the adminstration) who through their viciousness, incompetence and apathy make teaching in a New York City Public High School a nearly impossible task. All student's names have been changed in order to protect the innocent. After all they are not the enemy. I am an experienced middle aged Special Education teacher of 20 years(prime target of Bloom/Klein Regime. Hygenic, Energetic, creative, freethinking, independent, bicultural and trilingual, United States Coast Guard retired and a dam good teacher who until last year paid out of his own pocket for a an after-school cultural/performing club(www.brasilianlatinoclubnyc.org) on Fridays after-school when the building was empty being that the most teachers got the hell out of school as fast as they could and others went to the local bar to complain about their students and drink. Yep I am an "unsatisfactory" teacher!

ENRIQUE "HENRY" FUNES, Veterano del Guardacostas de Estados Unidos, Henrique, conocido como Henry, celebra su 20 ano como maestro en el sistema Educacional de la Ciudad de Nueva York y su decimo en la escuela secundaria Humanidades. Un profesor de alumnos especiales, Henry ensena clase de espanol, estudios globales e ingles como segundo idioma. El practica la filosofía que multiculturalismo es lo que le “da sabor a la vida” y “Humanidades es una escuela con mucho sabor porque goza de la diversidad estudiantil.” Henry suena con engendrar un Conjunto de Samba Estudiantil en Humanidades. De descendencia brasileña y nicaragüense, Henry también suena con introducir la cultura y la música querida de la patria de su padre: Brasil. “Samba es la música nacional de Brasil. Nace en las “favelas” (ciudad de chabolas o chozas) de Salvador de Bahía y Rió de Janeiro. La música americana “rap” o “hip hop” es muy popular en las favelas. Seria maravilloso si los ritmos de Samba inspirarían a los americanos a incorporarlas en la música de “hip hop” así como los artistas de “jazz” tomaron inspiración de samba hace dos generaciones y crearon el movimiento bossa nova.” Con este acontecimiento espero establecer un Conjunto de Samba con bailarines y Capoeiristas (Arte Marcial y Danza brasileña) a fin de tener un intercambio fecundo de ritmos y estilos entre estudiantes americanos y brasileños. ¿Quien sabe si el futuro Jay-Z no estará inspirado por un poquito de Samba?
