About me

Introduction	In 2006, I retired after 34 years of elementary teaching. Last summer, I started a gift shop, Aunt Samantha's (www.auntsamanthas.com). This has been a longtime dream of mine. The shop has a patriotic theme, but also carries seasonal items, as well as cards and items for personal enjoyment and gift-giving. One section is devoted to a display of my collection of Indiana memorabilia. I was born and raised in Martin County, and moved to Jackson County in 1970. I married John in 1972, and he passed away in 1996, after enduring many major health problems. Our two sons live in Louisville, KY, and Hopkinton, MA. I remain in Crothersville, IN. In addition to my sons, my family includes my three brothers and three sisters, my in-laws, and several nieces and nephews. I probably visit them about once a month. Fortunately they all live in the same area. I am a member of Crothersville Christian Church, Happy Apronettes Home-Ec Club, Crothersville Town Players, Crothersville Lions Club, Jackson County Friends of the Library, Crothersville Senior Citizens, Crothersville Area Revitalization and Development (CARD), and Crothersville Sesquicentennial Committee.
