Introduction	I am a metalsmith, wife, and mother, but that doesn't say much. I love to learn things, experience new places, see things, make stuff, and otherwise nerd out. I live in Rochester, New York, where it's never warm enough.
Interests	Pretty much everything. Arts, art history, personal history, travel, technology, steampunk, reading, watching all sorts of things on the history channel or discovery or PBS, playing cards and games, anything crafty, learning how to do stuff.
Favorite movies	Anything Tim Burton, Kevin Smith, or Joss Whedon is usually amazingly great. Other than that there are Shaun of the dead, Hot Fuzz, really bad to laughable Sci Fi films, 80's movies. I have a passion for knowing how things work or are made, so those kinds of videos are awesome too.
Favorite music	all kinds - from Modest Mouse to Showtoons to Dementia and 40's to jazz and beyond. I like everything but gangsta rap and some country music.
Favorite books	Anything by David Sedaris, Margaret Atwood, Sylvia Plath, or Mary Roach. Art and art history, Harry Potter series, Charlaine Harris, and pretty much anything else I can get my hands on.

What's the most amount of sand you've ever had in your swimming trunks?

A metric butt-ton.
