| Introduction | Eighteen-year-old Arkansas native Katy Bishop began writing songs at age 12 and has grown up onstage. She started out in dance at five and has been involved in many musical theater, ballet, jazz and drama productions. All of this experience has built a foundation and stage presence that carries over into her love of performing, songwriting and singing. All this while excelling academically. She’s placed in pageants, won rave reviews for her dance and stage work and won academic honors, but nothing moves her like her music. At eighteen-years-old, she’s already been writing regularly with some of the top songwriters in Nashville for over a year. She’s played in world-famous Nashville venues like The Bluebird Cafe and Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, performed at functions for the State of Arkansas and other high-profile events and regularly plays at many popular songwriter venues in Nashville and Arkansas. Her first EP, "Invisible Dream," got rave reviews, and her follow-up, "Find Yourself," co-written with some great Nashville songwriters and recorded with the best musicians and producers Nashville has to offer, proves that she’s well on her way to big things. |
