| Introduction | My highest calling and first love is being a wife, mother, and grandmother. I help my husband in his business, and am beginning my new venture as a professional image consultant: www.itsyourimage.org. I named this blog, "Merchant Ships blog" because the model of the Proverbs 31 woman (and Titus 2) is my goal. I've had friends tell me that I remind them of bringing our family's food from afar, like the Merchant Ships, as described in Proverbs 31:14. We were privledged to know an elderly lady who was called home(passed away) a few years back. On the back page of her funeral program was printed Proverbs 31:10-31, along with a memo from her family that this passage truly depicted her life. This was so true. I remember sitting there thinking, that there would be no greater honor / tribute than for your family, friends and those who knew you, to be able to say this about you. Back to Merchant Ships. I do enjoy finding the best quality food (usually produce) at the best prices. I enjoy being resourceful. Regarding Proverbs 31, I have a long way to go to fulfill this goal in it's entirety (If that is possible), but then God isn't done with me yet! :) |
