| Introduction | Allison Gilbert, MA, LMFT is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has an MA in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from John F Kennedy University and a BA in Psychology from the University of California at Santa Cruz. She was in private practice for 10 years before having children, under her maiden name: Allison Pokras. After her children were born, Allison was a stay-at-home mother for 12 years and volunteered extensively in her community - including serving as PTA president for Westlake Elementary School for 2 years. Allison has training in co-dependency, communication, and postpartum depression. She is also a breast cancer survivor. She has had one of her articles published in "Growing Up in Santa Cruz" newspaper and another in the Santa Cruz Sentinel. Allison works with individuals and couples on relationship issues, women's issues, self-esteem, co-dependency, postpartum depression, depression/anxiety, spiritual issues, self-esteem, and parenting. |
