| Introduction | This is an informal collection of thoughts from a first time mom. I’m a 34-year-old Italian mom who lives in New York City and would like to share the joy and frustrations of new motherhood, the beautiful memories of my country where I spent most of my life and the daily stress of the big city. I moved to New York 8 years ago and met the love of my life shortly after. We married 9 months later and have been together ever since. Last October we welcomed our beautiful bundle of joy Luca…boy, what a cutie! And just when you think life can’t get any better…you’re suddenly overwhelmed with a whole bunch of new stuff that no pregnancy guide or other mommy book ever prepared you for. This is the journey from my cool pre-baby life in the city, with a stressful and glamorous job to becoming a mommy and trying to juggle the joys of motherhood and your not-so-cool-anymore part-time job. These are my inspirations, experiences and simply all the things I love and would like to share. From a simple recipe of my grandmother’s cookbook to the cutest baby outfits. From my childhood spent in Northern Italy to the tears you shed when holding your baby for the very first time. This is my journey. |
