| Introduction | Coral and Sharon are a dynamic mother/daughter duo who are starting their own online book club and you are invited to join! Sharon is doing well. She is back to work, back to reading, back to walking with a little less limping after too long of a recovery after back surgeries...! Coral is chomping at the bit to visit the grandkids (Sharon's nephew and neice) and enjoying driving her NEW car, a Dodge Caliber. She is sad to see her truck go, though. She is a librarian and author, so she is in the know on all the great books out there. |
| Interests | Reading...this IS a bookclub! |
| Favorite movies | Bend it Like Beckham, Sliding Doors, The Bourne Series, Amelie, The Royal Tannenbaums, House of Flying Daggers, Tomb Raider, Charlies Angels...and then Gone With The Wind, The Thin Man Series, Cary Grant Movies, Hepburn and Tracy Movies are something that Coral and I can agree on... |
| Favorite music | Sharon likes alternative, rock, jazz, and a bit of classical...Coral likes...well, some jazz, some classic rock and 80's pop. Some similar tastes there, suprisingly. Diana Krall and Ella Fitzgerald are always crowd pleasers for the two of us. |
| Favorite books | We both like: the Ian Rutledge series!!! (Scotland Yard Detective) and the Maisie Dobbs series. Sharon likes: The Reading Group and The Friendship Test by Elizabeth Noble, any book by Anna Maxted, The Lovely Bones, Princess, Queen Noor's memoir, Sting's memoir, Anthem and We the Living by Ayn Rand, Three Black Skirts by Anna Johnson, Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, Middlesex by Jeffery Eugenides (I read it a year before Oprah thank you very much!), Persuasion and Emma by Jane Austen, Twilight by Stephanie Meyer (haven't read the other ones yet, but can't wait!), Girls' Poker Night by Jill A. Davis, almost anything by Maeve Binchy, To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Touching the Void, Into Thin Air and Into the Wild by Jon Krakaur, Round Ireland With a Fridge by Tony Hawks, The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls...so many books so little time! |
