| Introduction | Reside in Chatham, Ontario. Married to husband Ralph, for 28 years. We have 3 adult children. Our oldest daughter and her husband are expecting our first grandchild in October. Very exciting. This is my first attempt at a bike tour (for that matter, my first attempt up a mountain!). Being away from my family & friends will be a challenge. As the start date looms closer fears and self doubt creep in. Have I trained enough? Can I handle the daily demands on my body physically and mentally? My husband asked me the other day if I had the chance to back out, would I? I replied, 'as much as this bike trip scares me I feel the need to go.' I know it will be difficult. I know I'll cry at times with tears of sadness or frustation, but at other times those will be tears of joy because of some kindness a stranger has offer to me or because of the sheer beauty of creation." So no, I wouldn't back out but I do ask for your prayers for each of the cyclists, the support group and the families that they have left behind. And so I go with the assurance that I'm never alone. May God grant us all what we stand in need of. |
| Interests | My hobbies range from aerobic to sedentary. I enjoy scrapbooking, knitting, reading and sharing a cup of coffee with friends or family members. I also look forward to evening walks with my husband, Ralph. Cycling and jogging also top the list of enjoyable sports. |
