| Introduction | Hi, I'm Alex Wing, currently a junior at El Cerrito High School. This summer I will be participating in the Freedom and Justice program at Cornell University though the Ivy League Connection. Math and history are my favorite subjects in school. I play high school soccer and baseball and also participate in the school's music program. In my free time I love being outdoors, playing ball with friends or going on a hike. I have always had an interest in studying on the East Coast for college, especially because my parents attended school in New York (Columbia) and Boston (Tufts), and what I look forward to most is being able have a first-hand experience of living on a university campus and studying about political theory and structure, something that we don't have the chance to study in depth at school. Of course I hope to learn many things through my stay, but my primary goal by the time I return is to answer the question of where I want to go to college with: "this school because of these reasons..." I can't wait to share all of my experiences with you all! |
