| Introduction | Everyone has a goal or wish in life. It could be to be a doctor or simply a gift for Christmas. For Tantalus, a Greek that is punished by Zeus to never be able to drink or eat, it is to gulp down one mouthful of water and take a bite of fruit to relieve his pain. Some want to be president or hope for world peace, but the goal of my life, the thing that I will try my best to succeed in, is to become an author. I started enjoying writing and having the goal of becoming an author when I was in third grade. I was taking a writing class then, and part of my homework was to write a story based on a picture. At first, I did not know what to write. I thank my parents for helping me get ideas. After doing many of them, I started enjoying it. I wrote longer and longer stories. It inspired my love for writing. I would also like to thank Mrs. Kim, my writing teacher, for encouraging me. She helped me realize how important writing is to me. Writing is my life. |
