| Introduction | I am Japanese-German-Irish...I am curious about where I come from because I grew up in Canada, but both my parents emigrated from Japan. My mother's parents were missionaries in Japan from 1955 - 1995. After WWII many missionaries from the US went to Japan. My mother met my father there and got married on a mountain at sunrise. My best friend in the world is also a "Hapa" half-Japanese, half-Caucasian. Also, a person born out of similar circumstances: a missionary's child marrying a Japanese man. My dad died when I was 12, so naturally I have a lot of questions...I have been to Japan 4 times now, but someday, I'd like to study at a university there. |
