| Introduction | I am a Social Studies teacher at Adna High School. I teach World History, United States History and Current World Issues. I love teaching history! I'm also a big pirate fan! We have some great kids at Adna and they are talented musically, athletically and academically! This year- I'd like to raise the bar academically which is why this site exists! Check it out with your families and feel free to post appropriate comments and questions! Let's have fun! I grew up in Pe Ell, but didn't stay long! I have a husband, Ruben and two kids- Bo and Leticia! I like the outdoors and grew up hunting and fishing as my Dad was a logger and introduced me to nature early! We cut wood, peeled bark, looked for mushrooms and scouted for elk and deer. I attended PeEll through High School playing all the sports they offered. I left there for Grays Harbor College and continued as an athlete to play volleyball and fastpitch on scholarship. I coached for extra money and worked at the local Y.M.C.A. as many hours as I could. I tranferred to University of Puget Sound for both my undergraduate and graduate work. |
