Introduction | I was born in Helmstedt, Germany and lived in a house once owned by Giordano Bruno. I grew up in Chicago, Illinois and dreamed of mountains, attended college in Tucson, Arizona and learned to spin webs.
I now live in Tacoma, Washington: the outside windows bring me mountains and rain and the sea; the inside windows have shown me Carcosa. After twenty years of figurative wandering in the desert, I literally came out of Egypt to be baptised a Roman Catholic and subsequently become an Oblate of the Order of Saint Benedict. I'm a writer, and I'm married to my Muse. What could be better than that? If you remember nothing else, remember this: my God is the also the God of whimsy. |
