| Introduction | I taught secondary English for 30 years before retiring in 1996. After that, I substituted for 12 years, mostly at a school for gifted and talented students, and now I tutor fourth graders in reading and writing. Highlights of my life include coaching award winning students in journalism and drama, and having my seniors score high on the AP tests. I had fun working with students in musical and drama productions, and am proud to say that students from as long ago as 30 years still stay in touch with me. I also love playing with my 6 year old twin grandchildren and am looking forward to a trip to Israel in November. This blog will be filled mostly with memoirs: impressions of the "nouns" that have filled my life. Perhaps I will even deal with those of the present, and surprise you with some poetry, which after all fits the noun category of "thing." |
