| Introduction | Born in Mexico City, Alex grew up in rural Illinois. He was the kid who played left field in little league and whose side hurt when running in gym class. He has worked on a pig farm, a drugstore, as a butcher, a restaurant manager, flight attendant, corporate lackey, musical instrument salesman, emergency clean-up supervisor, waiter, bartender, sailor, warehouse stocker, stay-at-home dad, valet and hotel manager. His has played music all over the world including Christmas carols in Sweden and blues in Tokyo. He has slept in a tent alone, in a Navy destroyer berthing with 88 other men and on a bench with cardboard for warmth. He currently is a news reporter / announcer with a conservative tilt who also can play jazz, blues and funk trumpet. He lives in Hawaii with his wife and two sons. |
