| Introduction | I am a Child Care Practioner, a Licensed KinderMusik Educator, A Certified KinderSigns Instructor, and owner of Heaven's Garden Children's Place, a Christian Family Child Care Program, which features Kindermusik's ABC Music & Me and ASL Instruction for Hearing Children. I grew up using Sign Language to communicate with both of my Parents who were deaf. My desire to become Certified in ASL grew out of my respect for my Parents.It was always my mother's belief that everyone should have the opportunity to learn Sign Language. I know first hand the benefits of teaching sign to hearing children and I am aware of the growing research regarding it's usefullness in Language developement in hearing children, not to mention how it eases frustration among toddlers and their parents. I have been signing with my own 3 year old grand-daughter since she was an infant. I offer Sign Language Playgroups, Enrichment Classes and Workshops for both Parents and Teachers. Prior to becoming a Family Child Care Practioner I was employed by the Federal Head Start Program for 13 years.
