Introduction	DeWitt AREA OIL AND GAS LEASING IS IN FLUX NOW I am a fellow DeWitt landowner. I have done deep research into area leasing activity for three years. Our oil window acreage today is worth more than the $30,000 per acre paid 2 years ago to Barnett and Haynesville landowners. Our land has better economics. The landman is a company man who will prey on the uninformed landowner. This blog is not a substitute for legal representation. It is a dedicated and informed opinion by me. Don't believe most of what the oil company landman tells you. Those of you in the oil window not yet leased should see much better lease terms near term. We are about see a quantum shift higher, a real blowout in higher lease bonuses and royalty.
