Introduction	I was born on January 25, 1973 in Philadelphia, PA to Jim and Helen Heder. After living in California, Japan and Colorado for a short time I did most of my growing up in Salem, Oregon. I went to West Salem & Myers Elementary School, Walker Middle School and graduated in 1991 from South Salem H.S. I have 5 younger brothers, Doug, Dan, Jon, Adam amd Matt. Growing up my interests included dance, piano,cheerleading, boys and socializing. Throughout high school I was involved in a lot of leadership activities such as different ASB positions, Seminary Council president, Feature Editor of school newspapr, etc. My leadership experience led me to college at Ricks College(now BYU-Idaho)where I received a leadership scholarship and served as an ASB officer. From there I transfered to Utah State and after one quarter I decided to serve an 18 month mission for the LDS church to Puerto Rico. I came back to USU after that and married Jason Glenn Short, my high school sweetheart, on June 15, 1996 and we graduated from USU together in 1997, I in Spanish and he in Economics. After that we moved to Michigan where Jason attended Law School and I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
