| Introduction | I am a wife, mother to three grown, married children, grandmother to 6 beautiful grandkids and daughter to aging parents who are 90 and 85. I was privileged to be able to stay at home with my kids for 27 years. When my youngest went to college, I went to nursing school. I graduated at 50 and have been a nurse for five and a half years. I had thought that I would do oncology nursing or geriatrics because that's what I was living. Instead, I work on a maternity unit caring for new moms and babies. I work part-time, juggle caring for my parents who live 4 hours away, babysit grand kids 2 days a week and travel with my husband to ski, beach or hike as often as possible. Welcome to my world. |
