| Introduction | Originally born in Michigan, I moved out to Arizona in 1977 at the age of 9. I strongly clung to my allegiance to all things Michigan for many years--including not eat Mexican food until 1984!!! I earned a Bachelor of Science in History in 1990 from Arizona State University. In 1994, I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Master of Library Science degree. In my last semester of grad school, I met husband, Harold, in an ASU grad history class. We married the following year. In 1998, we embarked on a journey outside of Arizona, taking us to Agate Fossil Beds National Monument in western Nebraska, and onward to Yellowstone National Park in 1999. We proceeded to live in Montana for 8 1/2 years. I had two lovely girls in that time, Natalie and Amber. We also survived two closeby forest fires (2001 and 2006), one minor earthquake (5.5 on the Richter scale), numerous snow storms, subzero temps (-34 degrees F), and one rattlesnake bite to a cat. Now I am back in Arizona in the same neighborhood I grew up in from 1977-1995! |
