| Introduction | Dave Cool (yes, that’s his real name!) is an author, filmmaker, consultant and compassionate musician’s advocate who is dedicated to helping and empowering independent artists. After a serious ear condition cut his music career short, he turned his attention to running his “anti-record label” Stand Alone Records, where he documents the growing ‘indie revolution’ taking place in the music industry, highlighting the success stories of proactive independent artists. In 2006, Dave made a huge splash in the music industry with the release of his first film, the inspiring documentary “What is INDIE? A look into the World of Independent Musicians”.
