Introduction	Born in Berlin during a bombing raid. Grew up outside Berlin in what was then East Germany. Had the dubious privilige of having my sister as my 1st year teacher. 'Escaped' to West Berlin in 1956, where I completed my schooling and served an apprenticeship. Moved to Copenhagen in 1963, got my introduction to computers there. Migrated to Australia in 1968 and have lived in Melbourne, Perth and now Popanyinning (Poppo for short). It is a tiny hamlet in the wheatbelt of Western Australia, our slogan is: Popanyinning - hard to say but nice to stay. You can Google it if you like! As my stepson said, the first time he graced the 'estate' with his presence and cast his eyes over the rolling hills to the east: "It's not the end of the world, but you sure can see it from here"!
