Introduction	I started painting and sketching a little when I was about 12 years old. Then at about 16 I was in my parents living room and opened up a Time/Life book on Vincent Van Gogh, the photographs of his paintings and sketches astonished me and made me feel like I wanted to pursue art. So I did, I studied painting and drawing with Peter Aspell in Vancouver as a teenager and took periodic night school courses as an adult.
