| Introduction | I'm a software engineer by profession, musician, photographer, movie nut, reader, and all-around family guy with a wife and two daughters whose magical presence in my life continually inspires me to be better in everything I do. "Leonard" is not my real name. I chose this name because it is the first name of the main character in the movie "Memento". I of course loved this film, but more than that, Leonard's character and his pursuit closely resembles the course of human history - charging after some elusive goal with only a small (but growing) amount of information in living memory, and having to constantly refer back to notes to remind ourselves what we've learned so far about progress towards the goal. |
