| Introduction | City Manager Darwin McClary joined the City of Albion management team on September 30, 2019. Darwin is a native of the Detroit, Michigan, metro area, and has managed several Michigan cities and villages, both large and small. Both sides of Darwin's family have been in Michigan since the 1850s, although he has been able to trace his family all the way back to Lynn and Groton, Massachusetts, in the 1630s. Four of Darwin's great-great grandfathers fought for the Union in the Michigan Infantry during the Civil War. He was born in Avon Township (now the City of Rochester Hills) and grew up in northeast Oakland County, graduating from Oxford High School in 1984. He has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Human Services with a concentration in Public Administration from Siena Heights College and a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree from Golden Gate University. Darwin loves spending time with his husband, Steven, and their four sons and grandson! |
