| Introduction | Founder Director of Khilona,India's first professional Company of Adults Performing for Children, V.K. is devoted to Theatre with and for Children for 25 years – a graduate from National School of Drama (NSD) with over 33 yrs experience in theatre viz. writing, directing, acting, translating, designing, etc - worked as Drama Teacher at Modern School Vasant Vihar, for about 4 years directing 12 plays for the school’s House Functions - worked with NSD Repertory Co. as Artiste and toured all over India and abroad with various plays as Assoc Director/Stage Manager, Actor. Also worked/acted in various Films & Television Serials such as Richard Attenborough’s Gandhi, BBC’s Jim Corbett and Jasoos Vijay, NDTV’s Ji Mantriji, TV 18’s Bhanwar, Satish Kaushik’s Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai, Milenge Milenge, Khosla Ka Ghosla and Vipul Shah’s London Dreams etc. He is the first and only children’s theatre expert to be honoured with India’s highest award in Theatre Direction by the Sangeet Natak Akademi in 2005.
