| Introduction | I am a jewelry designer from the mid size town of Katy, Texas. I studied at the University of Houston where my major was English and my minor was art. I first learned of jewelry construction in an art class consisting of design and building techniques, but I did not pursue the art until many years later. After suffering a heart attack and subsequent triple bypass surgery, I had to slow down my life and find a less stressful occupation. Jewelry construction fit the need for less stress. I chose to work with wire as my primary medium, turning a length of wire into a wearable work of art is truly rewarding to me. I paint and work with wood as well. |
