| Introduction | Galapagos Nature Lovers Group Date founded on 31 August 1986 in the city of Padang of West Sumatra. Galapagos name itself is taken from the name of an island with the mountain's most active volcano in the world located in the Pacific Ocean about 1,000 km from west coast of South America.
