| Introduction | I am a New York born and based freelance illustrator and fine artist. I work under my artistic company name, Purple Mist Art. Growing up in the lofty suburbs of Westchester County, New York, I have been drawing since I have been able to hold a pencil and able to scribble on any blank surface available: on paper, wood, canvas, and to my mother's dismay, my bedroom walls. Since then I have been passionately honing both my artistic skills and my business skills. My main influences are Frida Kahlo, Paul Gaguin, Leonardo da Vinci, David Delamare, Chuck Jones, J. Scott Campbell, Norman Rockwell, Robert Crumb, Walt Disney, and countless collections of comic books series, animated movies and shows. This blog is an outlet for me to share my creative endeavors and hopefully provide some support and encouragement for anyone trying to live their life creatively, just like I am trying to do :-) |
