| Introduction | I'm a 30-something woman who lives in the DC area with her husband Steve and two beautiful daughters - Caroline, a fiesty about-to-be-four-year-old, and Molly, our eighteen-month-old baby. We learn from our girls and they learn from us every day, as we're in a bit of a unique position - I am a paraplegic who uses a wheelchair to get around. We've had to think pretty creatively throughout the whole process of becoming first-time parents and deciding to add a second baby to the mix, so you may see us passing some of this along from time to time in this blog. Mainly though, I hope this is a place where I can share our day-to-day experiences and ideas with others (and maybe get a few from the masses), share news and other tips, as well as update our friends and family on our adventures! Cheers... |
| Interests | family, friends, parenting, the beach, Spring and Summer and sometimes Fall (but rarely Winter), hydrangeas, restaurants, cocktails, really good wine, "The Daily Show", preppy, pink, green, handbags, disabilities, stationery |
| Favorite movies | If you were to ask my husband what I make him watch whenever it's on, this is what he'd say: "The Goonies", "What About Bob?", "Clueless", "As Good As It Gets", "Something's Gotta Give" (I want that house), "50 First Dates", "Best In Show", and "Napoleon Dynamite". I pretty much watch anything that makes me laugh. Oh, and I'm a little bit of a closet Lifetime-made-for-tv-movie freak and will call my sister Lulu whenever something fabulous is on because she is almost definitely watching it, as well. |
| Favorite music | I listen to a bit of everything these days. |
| Favorite books | "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" and "My Sister's Keeper" are probably my favorite books (although anything by Judy Blume was pretty fabulous in my childhood), but I have to be honest: I am more of a magazine kind of girl. I know, kind of fluffy. I do like to read, but prefer the condensed kind that you find in magazines and stuff - my favorites these days include "Us Weekly" (another one of my "news sources"), "Coastal Living", "Parents", "Cookie", and "Real Simple" |
