Introduction	I am a mother of three grown children with an accounting background. Shortly after my first child was born, I decided to be a stay at home mom. It was then that I began to explore my love for decorating. I poured through magazines and books for countless hours. Then a friend introduced me to the world of antiques & I was hooked. I started out with a space in a mall; then I opened my first store, The Antique Post. Then I found a cute little house to convert into a shop. It was built in 1930 and is on 1 1/2 acres with huge, old oak trees. Our cottage chic style is a mix of antique, vintage and new items. The spring of 2011 we opened our new building, The Old Oak Showroom. It is also filled with an eclectic mix of old and new; from French Country to Industrial. I love to repurpose old junk into new pieces, and have several friends that join me in adding those unusual pieces to the mix. My goal is for customers to walk into my store and say, "wow, look at this", or "how did they do that". I want to encourage them to express themselves creatively in their homes; making their home not only beautiful, but uniquely theirs.
