| Introduction | I live in the rural Midwest United States on a gravel road. Currently I am a non-practicing Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor keeping my license renewed. Mister lives with me, he farms and I help at whatever he needs me to do for the farm. Therefore, my farm jobs are seasonal & include, but are not limited to, hauler, goffer, transferer, runner & mainly being on call. Those of you who live(d) or work(ed) on a farm know what these jobs entail. For those that aren't familiar with these terms I'll share what 'hauling' is. Hauling is what I do in the Fall during harvest. I drive a tractor pulling 2 grain carts(wagons) full of either corn or soybeans from the fields to the storage bins & then take 2 empty wagons back to the fields. I haul from 10am to 4-6pm M-F & if I stop at 4pm it's usually to watch grandchildren. Being Grandma is my FAVORITE job! |
