| Introduction | I am currently a board member for No Time For Poverty, a 501c3 nonprofit organization that is constructing a pediatric clinic in Port Salut, Haiti. Haiti is where I lived from 1971 to 1973 at the beginning of my career when I built, for the I.S. Joseph Co., a bulk storage facility for importing fats and oils. Most of my 40 year career was spent in the agribusiness and commodity investment fields as a money manager, economist, trader, and broker. I wrote and published the nightly economic newsletter, The Daily Trade Blaster and authored the Novice Traders Guide to Commodity Trading. I have Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the University of Minnesota, with minors in physics and business administration (1970). I also have a secondary math education certificate through the Masters in Education program at the University of Minnesota and in 2000, I developed and founded a college preparatory charter high school for students deciding if college was an option for them. I am a Vietnam vet having served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1967. For 10 years I served on the board of Mount Sinai Hospital as vice-chairman and was chairman of its strategic planning committee. |
