| Introduction | Happily married to Miss Sue, retired, living just west of Spokane, WA. Been there, done that. Also been around the block a time or two. Still wearin’ jeans and boots. When you see my name, it means redneck, General Motors, right wing, Canon, Cabela’s, Smith & Wesson, Busch Lite and probably a few more. I am not now, nor have I ever been, ‘politically correct.’ I generally say what I think, which causes my wife to occasionally cringe. Shyness is not one of my traits. In spite of the foregoing, I am humble and do have humility. Six years ago I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. Why me? Well, why not me? After extensive surgery I am still alive and healthy, thanks to God and Miss Sue. I’ve learned that though the days may be long, the years are short. Make the most of them. These blogs are a compilation of our travel and camping notes, and not meant to be anything like a diary. Reading these notes is much like flying; long stretches of sheer boredom, interrupted by moments of great interest and excitement. Enjoy. |
| Interests | I have lots of hobbies. Do I dare bore you with a list of them? Why not, you’re reading this, aren’t you? Woodworking, electronics, photography, aviation (private pilot), cooking, gas and charcoal barbecuing and grilling (I’ve got an honest-to God chef’s coat and hat which I don’t deserve, complements of Miss Sue), snowmobiling, firearms of all kinds, music (country & western, what else?), four-wheeling, camping, and traveling. Oh, and drinking beer. |
