Introduction	Until December 2010, my husband, myself and our two red dogs lived happily in a little town called Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. We were not planning to go anywhere but as the saying goes "Man plans, God laughs" and now, October 2011, we are living in Madrid, Spain. I decided to share some of our stories and the craziness of living abroad, possibly to not feel like a complete fool who can hardly speak Spanish and therefore have to learn certain things the hard way! I also think there are many people in my position who had a successful career in their home country, who is not finding it so damn easy to settle into a working career abroad. So welcome to the craziness of The Engelas (and by this I do mean the humans and the red dogs)...
