About me

Gender Female
Occupation Survivor
Location Roscommon, Michigan, United States
Introduction I live in north central Michigan where there are lots of trees and not many people. It's so peaceful and centering. My husband, Dave, and I have been married for 26 years and have a combined family of 5 children and 7 grandchildren. Chessie and Casey, our 2 Labrador Retrievers, are also important members of our family. I live a very simple life and enjoy things like sunrises and sunsets, watching all the birds and wild creatures who visit us, cuddling in front of the fireplace on a cold winter night, scented candles, rainy days and the individual beauty of each of our 4 seasons. Until I started feeling ill, I worked from home as a copy writer on the Internet. I also have an ezine for Internet Marketers called "All the Write Stuff". I've suspended publication of that until I know how I'll react to my chemo and radiation treatments. I feel really blessed to be able to live the life I do and to find joy in little things. No matter what happens from this point forward, I'm grateful for all I've been given.
Interests Reading, nature, long treks with my dogs, needlework, music, creative writing, my computer, the little things in life.
Favorite Movies "It's a Wonderful Life", "A Star is Born", "Gone With the Wind", "Dances with Wolves", and too many more to list.
Favorite Music Pop, rock and country. Some classical but not much jazz.
Favorite Books "To Kill a Mocking Bird", "Winesburg, Ohio", "The Horse Whisperer", "The Painted House", "Marley and Me", and a whole ton of others.

Lionesses have no manes. How do they know when they've grown up?

When they start looking for gray hairs they know they're "mature".
