| Introduction | My son, Jordyn, was diagnosed at the age of 2 with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In Ontario, Canada services are limited and information is OLD. We were put on a waiting list for ABA therapy and in the meantime found Son-Rise which so fits with how we wanted to parent. We have been running a full time program for about 2 yrs, and a part-time program for 2 yrs before that. We love our program - what it brings to Jordyn, to us, to our volunteers. We wouldn't change a thing. My passion has always been to make a difference in the lives of other, and the Son-Rise Program is one avenue to fulfill that. I have volunteered and grown in other developmental modalities (other than Option & Son-Rise) for 10-12 year before starting this journey. Everything I did before has led me to here. |
