| Introduction | Born in Newport, South Wales which, as a rite of passage, means I support the Welsh rugby team through thick or thin. However, it also means that since 1982, when I relocated to England, I have spent twenty eight years on missionary work, with scant success. Much younger, I started with a musical career but soon realised the pitfalls of having no money, so I began a career path which led me through supply chain; buying and negotiations; business development; consultancy/advice to small businesses and, finally, the position of Managing Director at Sugro UK. It has been an interesting journey so far and continues to be even more interesting as the trade channel we operate within proves more challenging as time moves forward but the resilience of this sector always overcomes the adversity that is placed in front of it. |
