| Introduction | A husband for 23 years and a father for more than 20 of those years with two sons, 20 & 16 years old. In August 2009, totally burned out on dealing with other peoples' financial problems and being ready for a dramatic career change, I attended an 8 week Commercial Driving Course, graduating in October 2009 with a Class A Commercial Driver License w/HazMat endorsement. For the past 15 years, I have been chained to a desk practicing accounting. I am a FL-licensed CPA. I have specialized in tax preparation & planning, real estate sales & mortgage loan origination & planning. I also hold an active real estate and mortgage broker's licenses. I hold a BS degree in Accounting & Finance & a Masters degree in Accounting, specializing in taxation. Both degrees were awarded by Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. I also still a member of the AICPA, the National, FL and NE FL Assn of Realtors® (NAR, FAR, NEFAR). |
| Interests | I am currently traveling the country as a new driver for Willis Shaw Express out of Elm Springs, AR...and loving it. It's true that I am earning approx. one-third of what I was earning at my last firm. Money means nothing if you are miserable. |
| Favorite Movies | Pretty much any action thriller with a rating of PG-13 or better...no R movies or worse...we are exposed to enough vulgarity, profanity and nudity in our everyday lives that I choose not to watch movies that contain excessive amounts of either. |
| Favorite Music | I really like all genres of music except rap (sorry, just never acquired a taste for anger and vulgarity) though I do tend to make my way back to country music most often. |
| Favorite Books | Real life stories...I don't read much but my most recent read was "Always By My Side" by Jim Nance. I also recently enjoyed "The Peacegiver" by James Ferrell. |
