| Introduction | I grew up in Hammond, Indiana, graduated from Purdue with a degree in English Education. I married Stan in 1974 and taught high school English for 3 semesters before deciding that being a disciplinarian was not for me. Stan and I lived without electricity for 15 years. During that time our son Adam was born. We moved to "suburbia" (with electricity) in 1992 and I worked full-time as a secretary until retiring at age 55 in 2006. Adam, his wife Amanda and their children, Alexis and Asa live on the other side of town from us and we are most certainly blessed. What do I do in my retirement? I guess I transcribe old diaries! |
