| Introduction | Textile artist, Caroline Ramsey. I create textile art inspired by my interest in the wonder of the universe and my work centres on interpretating that through artwork. I am inspired by Japanese dyeing and stitching methods such as shibori and sashiko; the idealology of "boro", the renewal of cloth by continually patching and mending and the aesthetics of "wabi sabi", the beauty in imperfection. I use antique and vintage fabrics in my work. I sell my work at art fairs in and around London and on my Etsy shop. |
