Introduction I am currently the Principal of a Junior High campus. Upon moving from the Houston area to the country and building our dream home, I returned to the classroom. My third year in my district, I was named the Assistant Principal at our High School. I enjoy students of all ages and strive to assist young teenagers grow in their knowledge and character. Prior to moving, I spent six years in a district position that allowed me to support students and teachers/staff at all 54 campuses in my district. My teammates and I supported campuses in areas such as effective teaching strategies, positive behavioral supports, staff development, consulting with RtI committees, and providing training and support to parents. I also had the privilege of being a member of our Autism Evaluation Team. My prior teaching experience is as a special educator for nineteen years teaching at the elementary level in a variety of classroom settings such as resource, content mastery, Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD), co-teaching in 1st grade, and teaching Reading Recovery.
