Introduction I am a counselor by nature and trade...and a writer wannabe. If I could go back in time, I would have majored in English and minored in music...but I can't go back in time so instead, I now have post-master's work in English. It really is better late than never. Truthfully, though, I don't believe my 18 year old self would have grasped the intricacies of some of the literature I read as a woman in her late 40s. My life experiences color everything now...I view what I read, write, and watch through the eye of a counselor.
Interests Classic films from Hollywood's Golden Age, genealogy, writing, reading, classic TV (b&w Andy Griffith, old panel shows like What's My Line, The Name's the Same, To Tell the Truth, I've Got a Secret), modern classic movies (Lord of the Rings...it is all one long movie...not a trilogy for me!), The Black Adder series (favorite: the Elizabethan Blackadder II with Queenie, Bob, and the turnip shaped like a thingie)
Favorite Movies It's a Wonderful Life, Lord of the Rings (all three films as one), The Shop Around the Corner, Margie, Good Morning Miss Dove, Broken Blossoms, My Man Godfrey, The Women, Auntie Mame, Ben Hur (1959), Dinner at Eight, Sense and Sensibility (1995), Henry V (Branagh's version is far superior to Olivier's), Much Ado About Nothing, Peter's Friends (I love Emma Thompson and Stephen Fry)
Favorite Music Queen, Johnny Cash, the Statler Brothers, Perry Como, the Moody Blues, Dean Martin, Blondie, Buddy Holly, Don McLean, Roy Orbison, The Traveling Wilburys, Vince Gill, Rodney Crowell, Patsy Cline, Glenn Miller Band, Benny Goodman, Marty Robbins, the Sons of the Pioneers, Merle Haggard. The list goes on and on.
Favorite Books It changes all the time!

If your whole body were a hot air balloon, would you stop eating spicy food?

Of course not...that helps me fly higher and higher!
