Introduction	Mark Laver was raised in a rural area of Vancouver Island, and received a Double Major in History in Art and Philosophy at the University of Victoria. His Rural Disasters, night paintings and landscapes are in collections across Canada, in the United States, the UK, Germany and Australia.
