Introduction	I am a programmer, musician, musicologist, runner, mom, wife, daughter, friend, and the accidental recipient of an Internal Cardioverter Defibrillator, which I call Sparkey. Sparkey was first implanted in May, 2007, and replaced in February, 2009. I run, bike, hike, swim, ski, and do other activities with Sparkey. I record some of my ups and downs of life with Sparkey and running here. I try to encourage people, especially women, to get out and get moving in any way they can because I've seen real cardiac patients and, trust me, you don't want to be one if you can prevent it!
