| Introduction | Now (2021) I am constrained to a quiet life at home on Sherkin Island. My boat is laid up in Portugal, hoping for better times, my wife Fiona is struggling with a bad hip and long deferred treatment, and I have prostate cancer; nonetheless life is surprisingly good.
